Editorial policy
Grand Stage Journal aims to make stage design easier to see and discuss. Our editorial choices favour clear explanations, careful distinctions and claims readers can follow.
Accuracy and clarity
We check factual statements against reliable material available to us and distinguish established information from interpretation. Where a subject allows several readings, we describe the basis for our view rather than presenting an opinion as fact. We avoid filling gaps with invented details.
Independence
Editorial decisions are made for their relevance to stage design and the interests of readers. A collaboration or paid placement does not determine the conclusions of an editorial piece. We do not imply access, endorsement or experience that we cannot substantiate.
Corrections
If a published piece contains a factual error or needs important clarification, readers can contact us through the Contact page. We review the information and amend copy when warranted, making significant changes clear to readers.
Partner material and illustrations
Paid or partner material is labelled so readers can distinguish it from independent editorial coverage. We also identify illustrations that are AI-generated. Images are used to support the subject, not as proof of a claim about a particular production or design.
Design is a way of directing attention
A stage is never just a backdrop. We look at how its visible choices shape what an audience notices, expects and remembers.
